found - the rolling stones.

previously unseen photos of the young rolling stones taking a break while on tour in florida and georgia were found at a flea market. the lucky bitch who found these will be showing them at Dilettante in LA til Oct. 26th and then onto Miami for Basel (i could only imagine) and NYC after that.

what your eyes can see.

tired of being forced to stare at lapband billboards while stuck in traffic? there are a couple movements happening in los angeles and various cities in the uk featuring artists from all over the globe. ron english has been successfully (and mostly illegally) doing this for years and it looks like its catching on or people are just sick of looking at garbage everyday. lala arts, responsible for the ones seen in los angeles had financial backing behind them and the billboards were professionally printed and installed while brandalism in the uk took the good ol' fashioned approach and pasted them. here are a few flicks for your viewing pleasure.

in dub.

i've been ranting on for a while about how good hollie is but in case you needed more examples of her awesomeness. here it is. hollie cook in dub is exactly as the title says it is. her songs have been remixed in dubby fashion by the one and only prince fatty who produced her album as well, so they're pretty super amazing. there are a couple additions to this record, covers of ‘For Me You Are Dub’ by the Andrews Sisters, ‘And The Beat Goes On’ by The Whispers. while she was in LA a month or so ago she was kind enough to give me a copy which i have been listening to nonstop.
you can pick it up in cd or lp form on prince fatty's site here: HOLLIE COOK IN DUB
